
Awareness of Infectious Diseases
A C.M.E. program was held at the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre on Wednesday July 2nd, 2008. The program is a joint effort of the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre, the Indian Medical Association and the Indian Council of Medical Research of New Delhi.
It was conducted to bring awareness of new, infectious, drug resistant bugs and viral infections emerging in Tamil Nadu. The aim of the program was to collect ideas for research at the newly established viral research laboratory.
Mr. N. Balaji, Director of the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre welcomed all the guests.The Research Lab was inaugurated by Dr. Lalit Kanth, Senior Deputy Director General of the India Council of Medical Research.

Drug resistant Tuberculosis by Dr. Amita Jain of the K. G. Medical College in Luknow.
Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever by Dr. U. C. Chaturvedi, Consultant of the Indian Council of Medical Research.
