Free Computer Education Centre

There are a number of people both under graduates and post graduates who are earnestly looking for jobs but they require computer skills. This being the computer age almost all professions/jobs require the knowledge of computers.

Many people cannot afford to pay for computer classes or even buy a computer and most of the computer centres are available only in Vellore. For those who live in and around Thirumalikodi they are deprived of the chance of getting computer education. To resolve this, Arul Thiru Sakthi Amma has opened a free computer centre.

This Free Computer Education Centre was opened on 24.06.2007 in Thirumalaikodi. The collector of Vellore Shri Darmendra Pratap Yadav inaugurated the centre. The Faculty from Sri Narayani Hospital and Research Centre operates the classes. This is a great opportunity for those who cannot afford the fees for acquiring computer skills.

The centre opens Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. Six computer systems are available to students and tuition is completely free of charge. The syllabus includes Basics of computer, Fundamentals of computer, MS.DOS, Windows Operating System, browsing the internet and MS Office. Six batches of ten students each will be taught in eight shifts of one hour each, every day for three months.
