Free Computer Education Centre - Certificates

Since it's opening in June of 2007, the Sri Sakthi Amma Free Computer Education Centre has grown and is very well attended. This centre was established to provide free computer education to those who cannot afford to pay for it.

On November 15th, 2008 a presentation ceremony was held in the Yagashala at the Sri Narayani Peedam to give out certificates to the students who successfully completed the computer courses. Certificates were presented to 250 students. The chief guest at the function was Mr. K. P. Jain Director General of Police. Other dignitaries who participated in the function were Mr. C. Rajendiran, I.A.S. Collector of Vellore, Mr. Thamaraikannan, D.I.G. of Vellore District and Mr. Arivuchelvam, Superintendant of Police, Vellore.

Since the students of the Govinda Reddy Palayam Middle School have to travel a 4 kilometres distance everyday to get to the High School in Ussoor, Beloved Amma presented a cheque of Rs 100,000 to the officials of the school to be used for upgrading the school's facilities to also become a high school.
