Amma's Full Moon (Pournami) Message: 26-06-2010:

"Om Sarva Mangala Mangalye,

Shive Sarvatha Shaadhike,

Sharanye Triambake Gowri,

Narayani Namostute"

Every individual human being experiences various feelings during the course of his course of life. Some of these feelings give him happiness and other makes him feel bad. Depending upon the various circumstances he experiences a variety of feelings.

There are certain feelings commonly experienced by all. Happiness, anger, sadness and worry are those which everyone generally feels. Satisfaction gives happiness, difficulties give anger and too much concern and worries give sadness.

What is peace? It is a state mind attained when there are no worries and sadness. Where is peace? It is not elsewhere. It is within every human being. Happiness, anger, sorrow, sadness are feelings by virtue that repeatedly affects all humans which allow certain characteristics to be developed in man. Similarly what are the characteristics of Amma. It is Gods characteristics. Amma remains in "Shanthi", peace, eternal happiness, kindness and auspiciousness.

Amma the Sakthi remains always in a state of peace, harmony and kindness. These are the auspicious characteristics of Amma. You may wonder what you have to do to feel these on a continuous basis. Well where do you think Amma's power (Sakthi) is. It is everywhere. It is in you too in the form of Atma the soul. Atma is God.

We have names by which we are called. For example Ramasamy, outwardly we see him only by his name. But inside Ramasamy Amma resides in the form of Atma. All worldly worries, concerns remain only when the individual realizes him as Ramasamy. Once when the contact is made with the Atma and get united the next moment peace and harmony can be felt.

How do we attain this? For this we have to do deep prayers with Amma in mind and heart. The more we focus our mind on Amma we can unite with Amma. Till then we are ordinary humans, feeling the misery of all difficulties and innumerable problems. The moment we unite with Amma residing in the Atma within us the auspicious characteristics of Amma can be felt.

Is peace a state of being free from sorrow and misery? No, it is attaining the state where nothing affects us. That is the state of peace and harmony. The moment we have a problem we tend to forget the happiness we had .Only the problem stands out in the mind and heart. But when we attain the state of peace irrespective of any number of problems, which may confront us it will not affect us. Attainment of peace will give strength to bear and take on the difficulties and problems. This is what is called peace.

To attain peace we have to keep praying Amma the Almighty. We can feel the heat of fire and the coldness of ice when we touch these; both heat and cold are the feelings in us. Amma is within the soul or Atma, in the form of Sakthi. When we attain peace we get the feeling of coldness that gives us harmonious feelings. When we attain that state we will not have bad thoughts. We will experience harmony forever.

If happiness has to come only when problems are over, then we can never live happily. Problems will always come in life. However during such situations, deep prayer focused on Amma and Amma's grace gives us peace. Peace will set aside all bad things. It gives the strength to bear and deal with problems. Only human beings have the privilege and gift of God to attain this eternal peace and harmony. The other living beings in the earth like animals can feel happiness, but these can't pray or meditate. This is possible only for humans who can get ultimate happiness and joy on attaining peace.

When we obtain a valuable object, temporary happiness comes. When it is gone sadness arrives. Once peace is attained there will not be fear of receiving and losing. Peace is permanent. Everyone should experience and enjoy the feeling of peace.

The effort to attain peace gives its benefits to the individual and gives strength to do good for the society. Everyone should try to reach that state of peace.

Kaliyug is a period dominated by people with sinister designs. In the earlier period God answered prayers and God was present in front of the devotees. But in the Kaliyug which is full of negativity only Amma's kindness is predominant.

In the earlier ages Amma let the devotees reach Amma. But in this Kaliyug people are stuck and struggling in illusion (Maya) and therefore Amma out reaches the devotees. All those who pray to Amma continue to receive blessings and the grace of Amma.

On this auspicious day, Sri Sakthi Amma blesses all living being to live happily and harmoniously.
