Independence Day Celebrations at Sripuram

On Saturday August 15th, 2009 a flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Sripuram in commemoration of India's Independence Day. Mr. Datho Eswaran from Malaysia was the chief guest at the ceremony.

India's Independence Day is celebrated on August 15th each year to commemorate its independence from Britain in 1947. This day is an Indian national holiday and all over the country, flag-hoisting ceremonies are conducted by the locals.
