Nurses Day Celebration

On May 12th, 2007, the 187 birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale was celebrated as "Nurse's Day" at the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre. The chief guest at the function was Dr. Surendra Babu.

The Principal of Sri Narayani College of Nursing welcomed the Nursing College students, the staff of Sri Narayani Hospital and Research Centre and other guests.

Two members of the college faculty gave accounts of earlier nursing practices and modern nursing practices. Two nursing students gave speeches on the nursing techniques and the history of nursing. A group of students put on a play depicting the dos and don’ts of nursing which was humorous but very meaningful. Two members of the hospital staff and three nursing students entertained the gathering with a wonderful dance performance.

Mrs. Dulcie Daniel, the Nursing Superintendent closed the function with a vote of thanks to Sri Sakthi Amma and the Hospital Director for giving their blessings for the celebration to take place at the Hospital.
