There are two things which are very important in a person’s life. One is self happiness and the second is to make others happy as far as one can. If one has to be happy one must have mercy and love shown to him. If we want to make others happy we should have mercy on others and express our love to them. Today is a very important day in your lives because today you have received Amma’s mercy, love and grace which in turn will give you happiness.

Your own happiness is going to be possible today. In order to extend our happiness to others we have to be merciful to others and show our love and affection.

As you have received the love and grace from Amma, you have to give to others what you have received. This is the reason why the Punar Janma event happens every year. In that respect this day is very important. Along with you so many other people have written to the Peedam for help but all of them are not lucky enough to be chosen to be part of this program. You were chosen and have the chance of getting blessed and be happy today.
This is the first half of your life and next half is to make others happy. Only a person who is hungry knows the agony of starving. Only a poor person can feel the pinch of poverty. As such you all know about suffering, hardship and distress. As you improve in your life through this sewing machine and acquire happiness, you should also in turn have mercy on others and extend your help and happiness. When you help and extend your happiness to others, you must also tell them that they have to do the same thing for others.

A small seed grows into a big tree yielding thousands of fruits. In the same way one sewing machine you receive today should multiply into hundreds and thousands benefiting more and more people. You should be trained as a tailor. You should grow and advance and help other people who are in the same situation as you are in now. Doing charity work is not confined to only one person. Everyone should be involved in charity work.

So the two things which are very important in a man’s life are self happiness and making others happy as best as you can. If one has to be happy one should be shown mercy and love. If we want to make others happy, we should have mercy on others and express our love to them. Today you have received Amma’s mercy, love and grace.

Without effort, success or achievement is not possible. It is very important that you combine your efforts with faith in God. You cannot buy grace. It has to come spontaneously through love. The same Divine faith will pave the way for having mercy on others. Faith is very important. The gift of faith is two fold. We get the grace from God and then through our hearts we extend the grace and happiness to others. Only through faith we can achieve this. Today you are happy to receive this gift which is the result of your good deeds and charity of some things you’ve done in the past.

It is your chance today. Use this opportunity fruitfully and be an example to others on how to make others happy. How many of you have spent a thousand odd rupees to come and get this help? No one! Maybe just one rupee for the letter. Like you so many people have written. But only you were chosen because you are blessed by Amma. Share this happiness with others.
