Sri Narayani Hospital - Medical Camps

During the month of September, 2008 the Community Health Department of the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre conducted many Medical Camps as part of their Outreach Program.

This month they did camps on Women's Health Care, Ante Natal Care Home Visits, General Medicine, Neurological and Diabetes.

Ante Natal Care Doctors Visit

An Ante Natal Care Doctors Visit Camp was conducted on November 11th, 2008 from Sekanoor to Bhuthur. Dr. T. Kannaki headed the camp where she and the Auxiliary Nurses examined over 20 pregnant women for intra uterus growth retardation, low lying placenta, hydromnios and uterus diseases. The women who were anaemic were provided with injections and iron tablets free of charge. Those who needed hospitalization were referred to the hospital.


Ante Natal Care Camp

Ante Natal Care camps were conducted on November 5th and 11th, 2009 from Pulimedu to Vasanthanadai and Ariyurkuppam to Puthur. The Auxiliary Nurses examined over 40 pregnant women for common problems that occur during pregnancy to ensure there are no complications. Medicines were provided free of charge for all those who needed it.


Dental Care Camp

A Dental Care camp was conducted at the Seelari Elementary School on November 13th 2008, to provide general dental check ups to all the students. Dr. Anitha examined the children and over 30 students were given free treatment for various dental ailments and the few of them who needed hospital treatment were referred to the hospital.


Neurological Camp

A neurological camp was conducted on November 22nd 2008 at the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre. Dr. G. Prem Kumar examined over 25 people for common neurological problems like chronic headaches, giddiness, etc. Treatment and medicines were given free of charge.


Diabetes Camp

A Diabetes camp was conducted at the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre on November 14th, 2008. Dr. Sudhakar examined over 70 patients through blood tests and gave them free medicines and counselling on maintaining healthy food habits to keep the diabetes under control.
