On June 22nd 2005, the Sri Narayani Hospital and Research Centre was inaugurated by the Honourable Governor of Tamil Nadu, His Excellency Sri Surjit Singh Barnala.

The Governor arrived by helicopter from Chennai in the morning; where he was welcomed and escorted to a room where our Beloved Amma was seated. Before the inauguration ceremony, a Senior Doctor from the Hospital staff explained the facilities available at the hospital with the help of a large model.

To start the ceremony our Beloved Sri Narayani Amma lit the lamp and the Governor cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Hospital. After the ceremony, Amma and the Governor went into the meditation room where the Governor had private audience with Amma. Amma explained about the Sri Puram Spiritual Park and it’s mission after which the Governor was presented with a memento from Amma; and was given a quick tour of the Sri Puram.
