Sri Narayani Hospital - Medical Camps
During the month of June 2009, the Community Health Department of the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre conducted many Medical Camps as part of their ongoing Outreach Program.
This month they held camps for Diabetes and Hypertension, Ante Natal Care and Eye Examinations.
Diabetes and Hypertension Camp
Under the guidance of Shri N. Balaji, Director of SNH&RC and Shri. K. Suresh, Director of Sripuram, the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre & Sri Narayani Peedam Baktha Sabha got together and conducted a General Medical Camp on Saturday June 13th, 2009. Dr. Karthikeyan and Dr. Madhuravalli headed the team to provide medical examinations and treatments to patients with Diabetes and Hypertension. Over 120 patients were examined and given medicines free of charge.
Ante Natal Care Camps
Ante Natal Care camps were conducted on the 3rd, 9th, 17th & 24th of June 2009 from Mulagate to Appukal, Ariyurkuppam to MGR Nagar, Thelur to Natamangalam and Rajapalayam to Sagadevanpatti villages. The auxiliary nurse examined over 105 pregnant women. This camp is done to reach pregnant women in the rural areas who are too far away from hospitals and those who cannot afford this kind of treatment. All the women were treated and given free medicines, iron tablets, injections and advice as required.
Eye Examination Camp
An Eye Examination camp was conducted on 11th, June 2009 in Pulimedu. Dr. Chavvi Agarval headed the camp where she examined and treated over 40 patients for eye problems free of charge.
