Camp Details - February 2007
Several Paediatric, Ante Natal Care and General Medicine Camps were conducted during the month of February, 2007 by the Community Health Department of Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre. The Community Health Department visited several rural villages reaching out to hundreds of underprivileged people with the divine blessings of our Beloved Sri Narayani Amma.
Women’s Health Care Camp
On February 3rd 2007, Dr. Madhavi from the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department and Dr. Kannaki from the Community Health Department led the Medical Team to the village of Elavambadi. A combined camp of General Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynaecology was conducted with the cooperation and support of the village heads.
There were 3 Ante Natal Care cases treated, 15 Obstetrics & Gynaecology cases treated and 58 General Medical cases treated. Free medicines and T.T. injections were given as required. The recipients of the free medicines and medical care were very happy and appreciative that this type of service was brought to their door steps.
Women’s Health Care Camp
On February 7th, 2007, Dr. Madhavi from the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department led the Medical Team to Thirumalaikodi. Since our hospital is very close by, the turnout was comparatively low. There were a total of 9 patients; 4 of which were for Obstetrics & Gynaecology, 1 was for Ante Natal Care and the other 4 were for General Medical complaints.
Ante Natal Care Nurse’s Visit
On February 8th, 2007, one of our Auxiliary Nurses from Community Health Department visited Ante Natal Care cases starting from the village of Elavambadi to Eripudhur. A total 26 expectant mothers were examined and given the necessary treatment and medical advice. There were 13 new cases and 13 follow up cases.
N.I.D. Pulse Polio Program
On February 11th 2007, the Community Health Team headed by Dr. Parimala Bai, H.O.D. of the Paediatric Department conducted a children’s camp at the Sri Narayani Hospital. A total of 23 children, 15 boys and 8 girls were treated and given the necessary medicines and tonics free of charge.
Paediatric Camp
On February 17th, 2007, Dr. Prakash of our Paediatric Department along with Community Health Team conducted a medical camp for children. A total of 86 children were treated out of which 27 boys and 27 girls were under five years old and 13 boys and 19 girls were above the age of five.
Ante Natal Care Nurse’s Visit
On February 22nd, 2007, one of our Auxiliary Nurses from the Community Health Department visited the villages starting from Ariyur Kuppam to Kudisai providing Ante Natal Care. A total of 32 expectant mothers were examined and given the necessary treatment and medical advice. There were 17 new cases and 15 follow up cases.
Paediatric Camp
On February 23rd, 2007, the Community Health Team led by Dr. Narendra Babu of our Paediatric Department conducted a camp for children at the village of Peria Sekkanur. A total 87 children were examined, treated and given necessary medicines and tonics free of charge. Of the 87 children treated, 20 boys and 12 girls were under five years old and 25 boys and 30 girls were older than five.
Paediatric Camp
On February 27th, 2007, Dr. Parimala Bai H.O.D. of our Paediatric Department and Dr. Kannaki along with Community Health Team conducted a camp for children at the village of Govind Reddi Palayam. A total of 137 children were treated; of which 43 boys and 43 girls were under five years old and 17 boys and 34 girls were above the age of five.
General Camp
On February 28th, 2007, a General Health Camp was conducted at the village of Pulimedu. Dr. Anand headed the Medical Team which started out a little late because most of the villagers are in the flower business and were out collecting flowers early in the morning. There was a high fragrance of flowers filling the air as the Medical Team was seeing the patients. As many as 146 patients were examined and treated for various ailments. Medicines and treatment were provided to everyone free of charge.
