Sri Narayani Amma stresses that education is imperative to everyone's future. Everyone should be able to have a proper education, especially young people.
As part of the ongoing Vidhya Nethram project a function was held on August 17th, 2008 where Beloved Amma presented a cheque of Rs 50,000 to the Suzhou University and other financial aid amounting to a total of Rs.75,00,000/-.
Three hundred students were selected out of the thousands who applied for financial aid to pursue their studies in medicine, engineering and various other academic fields. These 300 students were fortunate to receive financial assistance through the divine blessings of Sri Narayani Amma.
Mrs. Kanimozhi M.P. was the Chief Guest and Mr. Ron Mannix from Canada was the Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries who participated in the function were Mr. Gandhi M.L.A. of Ranipet Constituency, Mr. Gnanasekaran M.L.A. of Vellore Constituency, Mr. P. Karthic, Mayor of Vellore and Mr. Mohammed Saghi, a former M.P.
During the divine discourse, Beloved Amma advised the students to work hard to achieve their goals and when they've qualified and want to do something in return for the Peedam they should extend the same assistance to other deserving students in the same way as they have received today.
Before the function, the parents and the students were treated to a delicious breakfast compliments of Beloved Amma. This kind gesture was gratefully acknowledged by both the parents and the students.
