
Vinayagar Chathurthi (Ganesha Chaturthi)
On the 1st and 2nd of September, Vinayagar Chaturthi also known as Ganesha Chaturthi (birthday of Lord Ganesha) was celebrated in Sripuram and Sri Narayani Peedam in grand style. Every year Vinayagar Chaturthi is observed in the Bhadrapada month of the Hindu calendar which normally falls in August or September.
As part of the celebrations many Pujas and Sri Ganapathi Yagams were performed. Large crowds of devotees from around the world attended the grand celebrations.
Lord Ganesha is worshipped at the start of every puja and is known as the remover of obstacles and negativity on the path to success and happiness.
